Terms of Service & License

Oathclaimed Terms

Effective October 2, 2026 · Version 1.0

1. Who we are

Oathclaimed is published by Tropebound Games, a Texas limited liability company ("Tropebound," "we," "us"), 5900 Balcones Drive #34093, Austin, TX 78731, info@oathclaimed.com. By creating an account, unlocking, or playing Oathclaimed you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Oathclaimed.

2. 18 or older only

Oathclaimed contains mature written content, including descriptions of intimate scenes in its later realms. You must be at least 18, and the age of majority where you live, to visit the game, unlock it, or play. You confirm that viewing this content is legal where you are. We may ask you to verify your age before you can play, and we may refuse or end access if we cannot confirm it. Never let a minor see or play Oathclaimed.

3. What you get: a license, not ownership

Unlocking Oathclaimed gives you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to access and play the digital game for private, non-commercial use in your household. You do not receive a copy of the game. You may not copy, share, resell, stream, publicly perform or redistribute the game or its text, or use it to train AI models. We may revoke the license if you break these Terms. This is a digital product only; nothing physical is shipped.

4. Price, payment and taxes

Prices are shown in US dollars before checkout and include everything described on the unlock page at the time you unlock. Web payments are processed by our authorized payment processor, and the statement wording is shown at checkout. Applicable taxes are added at checkout. There is no subscription, and you will never be charged again without a new unlock you choose.

5. Consenting adults, in private

Oathclaimed is fiction. Its cards suggest activities; they do not require them. You agree to play only:

  • with another consenting adult who has also agreed to play;
  • in a private place, never in public or where others could see or hear without consent;
  • while both of you are able to give and withdraw consent, and never while either of you is impaired beyond that point;
  • after agreeing a safeword and your limits, and stopping immediately when either of you uses it or withdraws consent.

Every card may be refused. Refusing or stopping is always your right and never a breach of these Terms. You alone decide whether to act on any card, how, and for how long.

6. Assumption of risk

You understand that physical and intimate activity carries risks, including physical injury, allergic reactions, restraint and impact injuries, injuries from props or products you choose to use, and emotional discomfort. All activities are optional. If you choose to act on any card, you do so voluntarily, at your own risk, and you are solely responsible for your own safety, your conduct toward your partner, and any products or props you use. If you have a health condition, allergy, injury or are pregnant, consult a medical professional and do not attempt any activity that could harm you.

7. Release of claims, including for our negligence

To the fullest extent allowed by law, you release Tropebound Games and its owners, members, managers, contractors and partners from all claims for personal injury, illness, property damage, emotional distress or other loss arising from your play or your decision to act on any card, including claims caused in whole or in part by our own negligence. This release does not apply where the law does not permit it, such as for our intentional misconduct.

8. Not advice

Safety notes in the game are general reminders, not medical, psychological or relationship advice, and they are not a complete list of risks.

9. Your responsibility to others

You agree to indemnify and hold Tropebound harmless from claims by any other person, including anyone you play with, arising from your conduct, your breach of these Terms, or your use of Oathclaimed with someone who had not agreed to play.

10. Disclaimer

Oathclaimed is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise the game will be uninterrupted or error-free.

11. Limit of liability

To the extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Oathclaimed is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages.

12. Refunds

Web unlocks are final except as set out in our Refund Policy, which is part of these Terms. Filing a chargeback instead of contacting us may lead us to suspend your license while the dispute is open.

13. Updates and service life

We may update, add or change cards, tales and features. Oathclaimed relies on our servers to issue and renew licenses. If we ever decide to shut it down, we will give at least 60 days' notice by email and on this site.

14. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to bypass age checks or payment, share accounts or unlock codes outside your household, scrape or copy the content, or interfere with the service. We may suspend or end access for violations.

15. Intellectual property

Oathclaimed, its text, art, names and logos belong to Tropebound Games or its licensors. "Oathclaimed" and "Tropebound Games" are our trademarks.

16. Records statement

Oathclaimed contains no visual depictions of real people. All characters are fictional and 18 or older. The record-keeping requirements of 18 U.S.C. 2257 therefore do not apply. See our 18 U.S.C. 2257 statement.

17. Complaints and reports

To report content, a technical issue or a concern, use our complaints and content removal page or write to legal@oathclaimed.com. We respond to every report within 5 business days.

18. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

19. Disputes

Texas law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us and try to resolve it informally for 30 days. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be heard only in the state or federal courts located in Texas, except that either of us may bring a claim in small claims court. Nothing here removes rights your local consumer law gives you that cannot be waived.

20. Changes

We may update these Terms. For material changes we'll notify you by email or in the game at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to play after that means you accept them.

21. General

If any part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These Terms, the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us. We may assign these Terms in a sale or reorganization of our business.

What you agree to at checkout

Before payment, you tick this box (it is never pre-ticked):

I am 18 or older. I understand I am unlocking a license to a digital game, not buying a copy, and that web unlocks are final except as set out in the Refund Policy. I will play only in private with a consenting adult. All activities are optional and at my own risk, and I agree to the Terms, including the Assumption of Risk and Release of Claims (sections 6 and 7).
